Other health monitoring features available in the Galaxy Watch 7 include irregular heart rhythm detection to monitor atrial fibrillation, heart rate monitoring that can alert you about abnormally high or low heart rates, electrocardiogram readings, and metabolic health tracking via an AGEs Index (AGEs are advanced glycation end products).

The Galaxy Watch Ultra comes with unique features like a multi-sports tile for tracking running, cycling, and swimming workouts. This watch is also equipped with an advanced Personalized HR Zone, which Samsung says optimizes your runs based on your specific body. The Galaxy Watch Ultra can also switch to Night Mode automatically, and it includes a siren you can trigger for emergencies.

These watches ship with Wear OS 5 and Samsung’s One UI 6.

Like previous Galaxy Watch models, the Watch 7 includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and LTE connectivity, convenient access to Samsung Pay, and a range of other sleep and health-related functions.

The 47mm Galaxy Watch Ultra has a 1.5-inch 480x480 Super AMOLED always-on display. The Galaxy Watch 7 has the same specs but a case size of 44mm, while the smaller 40mm model has a 1.3-inch 432x432 display.

There’s a new 3nm processor in the Galaxy Watch 7 that delivers three times the CPU performance and 30 percent more power efficiency than the Watch 6. This translates to a smoother user experience and better stability overall. It also uses multiple frequency bands for better GPS tracking.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra is designed for durability. It has better protection with its new cushion design and a Titanium Grade 4 frame. You can take it for a quick swim or snorkeling with 10 ATM water resistance and wide altitude support, from 500 meters below sea level to up to 9,000 meters high. The Galaxy Watch Ultra also has a new Quick Button that you can map to specific workouts or other functions.

According to Samsung, the Ultra model can run for 100 hours in Power Saving mode and 48 hours in Exercise Power Saving mode. It has a 590mAh battery, which is significantly bigger than the Watch 7’s 425mAh (44mm) and 300mAh (40mm) batteries. All three models support Fast Charging.

These watches have the same 2 GB of RAM as their predecessors but twice the storage capacity of 32 GB.

There’s also a new Galaxy Watch 7 ripple-shaped band and some new watch faces. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is available in Titanium Silver, Titanium Gray, and Titanium White. The larger Watch 7 comes in Green and Silver, and the smaller model is available in Green and Cream.
