How to Change a Facebook Password

Follow these steps to change the password for Facebook from a desktop web browser. These directions also work for the mobile app, but the screenshots are of the Facebook website.

Select yourprofile picture in the upper-right corner and then selectSettings & privacy >Settings .
SelectAccounts Center .
Go toPassword and security >Change password .
If you see a prompt for selecting your account, choose the one that saysFacebook . Forex Robotron Gold Package
Enter your current password in the first box, followed by the new password in the next two boxes.

Try your best to make a strong password and ensure that it isn’t used for any of your other online accounts. If it’s too tough to remember, you can store it in a password manager .

What to Do If You Forgot Your Facebook Password

If you’re unable to sign in to Facebook because you forgot your password, follow this process instead:

Open the Facebook website or app and try to sign in. Enter your real phone number or email address, but then type any password you want.
You can still recover your Facebook password if you don’t know your email or phone number .

Pick one of the rest options. If you entered your email address in Step 2, you should see theSend code via email option. Choose that, then selectContinue .
Check your email or texts for a code from Facebook. Take note of the recovery code.

Enter a new Facebook password and then selectContinue .
If you see a prompt about approving the login request, follow the on-screen directions, such as using your authenticator app , to log in with your new Facebook password.
